OK folks, let’s review the Bailout performance of he who would be our next Republican King:
1. McCane is eating Obama’ dust.
2. McCane announces with great fanfare, once a deal is imminent, that he will “put the country first” and lob himself into the deal to save the day.
3. McCane announces grandly that he will “suspend” his campaign (in the desperate hope that Obama will do the same and let the dust of his pull-away campaign settle).
4. McCane phones it in to the Bush cowering somewhere in the White House to get him to set up a meeting and invite Obama, who of course complies with an invitation from the White House.
5. McCane parachutes into the middle of the congressional agreement.
6. McCane sits at the end of the table by Boner and contributes nothing, including his position on accepting or rejecting the plan hammered out in a bipartisan fashion by the Democrats and Republicans in the House of Representatives (Obama on the other hand asked several very good questions of Hank Paulson during the meeting).
7. McCane and Boner have a private meeting to hammer out strategy for painting the Democrats into a public humiliation corner and blaming Obama for it.
8. McCane takes full credit for the passage of the Bailout Bill the morning just before it came up for a vote, and attacked Obama for not being involved (even though he had been on the phone with key people for over a week before the vote).
9. McCane $hits his pants when his Republican caucus overwhelmingly betrays him and the Bailout bails out.
10. McCane attacks Obama and blames him for the failure, conveniently ignoring the fact that the Democrats delivered more than their agreed upon votes (70 percent of their caucus voted aye) and the Republicans failed to deliver their agreed upon votes (76 percent of their caucus voted nay).
Once over lightly for the Average American: McCane flamed out by
1. suspending his campaign (which he lied about).
2. putting his political gain ahead of country (which he tried to lie about)
3. throwing a monkey wrench into an already done deal (grandstanding to take credit for a deal he thought was a sure thing)
4. jumping the gun to make sure he snuck in just ahead of a sure vote to take credit for something he had nothing to do with (plagiarizing liar)
5. then when he got caught with his pants down around his ankles, trying to offload the responsibility onto Obama for damage control.
McCane has turned out to be a transparent lying opportunistic piece of crap who puts winning the election before country. Anyone that won’t admit that has to also dive into his cesspool and get filthy to support him.
Come on in Cretins – Jump in. The McCane crap is, er … fine?
