The Bradley Effect...

I listened a bit to Randi Rhoads while I was driving to yet another important meeting in Los Angeles this week and heard her rail against the Bradley effect. For those of you less familiar with the concept here is the Reader's digest version of Wikipedia's definition of it... "

The Bradley effect, less commonly called the Wilder effect,[1] is a proposed explanation for a discrepancy between voter opinion polls and election outcomes in American political campaigns when a white candidate and a non-white candidate run against each other.[2][3][4] Named for Tom Bradley, an African-American who lost the 1982 California governor's race despite being ahead in some voter polls, the Bradley effect refers to an alleged tendency on the part of some voters to tell pollsters that they are undecided or likely to vote for a black candidate, and yet, on election day, vote for his/her white opponent.

The theory of the Bradley effect is that the inaccurate polls have been skewed by the phenomenon of social desirability bias.[5][6] Specifically, some white voters give inaccurate polling responses for fear that, by stating their true preference, they will open themselves to criticism of racial motivation. The reluctance to give accurate polling answers has sometimes extended to post-election exit polls as well. The race of the pollster conducting the interview may factor in to voters' answers.

Some analysts have dismissed the Bradley effect as an excuse for post-computerized election tallies that do match polling results. In the 2004 Bush/Kerry Presidential election, the Edison/Mitofsky pollsters created the "Reluctant Responder" explanation, which expands on the Bradley effect to include election tallies that do not match polling results even when race is not a factor. Also, there are analysts who simply dismiss the Bradley effect as "baseless" [7] while others argue that it may have existed in past elections, but not in more recent ones."

Of couse it goes on and if interested you should go read up on it.

Here's my point. America is not in it's right mind if it elects this half term sitting Senator to the White House. His judgement has been proven to be less than sharp in his choice of associates from domestic terrorists to Racist preachers to his choice of spouse. Let's face it, that woman is worse than Hillary.

But if it is this Bradley Effect that saves our country from being hijacked by a radical liberal agenda that surpasses anything the democrats have ever offered up previously so be it.

Despite the race issues surrounding this possible outcome it makes perfect sence. I have lied on many occasions to those post vote casting questionaires who ask the questions as you leave, "Who did you vote for" for the soul purpose of screwing up their results. My vote is mine and little if any of your business. You have no right to ask me that and expect an honest answer. So why would anyone really tell the truth to these busy bodies?

Personally, whether it is the racist, the liars or a simple surge in patriotism that keeps this brainless fool who can't speak from the hip to save his life out of the White House it will work for me. And on the off chance that he does somehow take the win I pray he wins by such a close margin that he studders in his application of liberalism long enough for the right to retake the House and Senate two years later and squelch his plans to move us completely into a socialist nanny state.

But what would I know; I'm only an Average American.

PS: To those of you who contiune to use my name in your openings to gain favor with whomever... It stinks to high heaven of desperation. You know who you are.
